The Zermatt before Zermatt

Fondue is a Swiss favorite tradition and fully embraced by our two kids. We had booked a reservation at a temporary restaurant for the Winter season at end of last year timed for US Thanksgiving.

That ended prematurely due to both kids becoming sick. Further collateral damage occurred with the abandonment of our entry to the Basel Stadtlauf was abandoned as it was scheduled for the same weekend.




Much needed snuggles

The pre-dinner drinks were a Gin and tonic and a glass of Prosecco. For the main event we moved on to our regular food pairing drink.

The kids have their own favorite libations.

Then on to dinner where we had our pot of melted cheesy goodness, a basket of bread and some cooked potatoes in a bag!

For dessert the Toblerone mousse! Washed down with a cappuccino of course!

On exiting Hayley and I made extensive use of the photo "booth" as you can see!




Now onto the Zermatt ski resort!
