Sunday afternoon was a beautiful sunny day and Hayley had been badgering her Dad about never having scaled the heights of the Basel Münster towers.
So without any hanging around except a brief lunch stop for kids münching on burgers, we headed to Basel Münsterplatz. Where we ascended one of the towers.
Below are views of the Münsterplatz from the first level of viewing from a tower.
Partway up at one of the viewing points you can walk around the narrow pathways circling the towers. From there you can look at the beautiful roof tiling and appreciate the pattern and colors. The direction is up the Rhein towards Germany which is the left side and Switzerland on the right side.

Here we can see the French with Andi taking in the views!

Looking towards Switzerland and our suburb of Binnningen you see some wonderful cloud formations too.
Once we reached the top and could take in some inspiring inside views too!
Finally but most impressively the main feature of the bell tower!

Fortunately, we did see that the hammer was tied up!
