Lunchtime cruising

It's midway through June already but the weather in Basel is being erratic. Kind of like the rest of this year so far.
For a while now, we had considered cruising on the river on one of the boats doing local tours up and down the Rhein. There were cruises from the center of Basel right by The Three Kings hotel at the Mittelbrücke (middle bridge).
Andi had booked one for a lunchtime cruise where we could sit in the restaurant eating lunch washed down with a fruity beverage while viewing the local countryside. The restaurant was totally enclosed but had many large windows allowed for great views of both sides of the river without moving from our seats.
Here we are at our table and the view as we departed close to The Three Kings Hotel.
The direction took us up river immediately going under the Mittelbrücke and revealing some interesting buildings right on the river including some random art work.
From there towards the Wettsteinbrücke and Tinguely Museum. Opposite side of the river from the Tinguely museum Basel street art was on full display.

From here we continued to head upstream to Birsfelden lock and hydroelectric power plant.
Here we are going through the lock.

By now some food and drinks were ordered and Ryan and Hayley were munching their way through the bread doing impressions.
We saw some interesting wineries close to the river on the German side.

After food we went up stairs on the return part of the journey to see close ups of the bridges and enjoy the interesting weather.
As you can see from the photos there is not much clearance under the bridge!
