The fall season, it seems comes around more rapidly each year. Along with one of our favorite times of the year comes Halloween. The Halloween tradition is much lower profile than back in the US but our two kids were not to be denied.
Embracing the holiday the pair took on the responsibility of decorating the house. A previous post is where you can review their efforts, so I will not repeat them here.
Now that the big day has arrived it dress up in the scariest costumes you can find or persuade the doting parent to buy!

Hayley, Pepper and I did the evening tour de Im Hügliacker complex which consists of all foreign assignment employees of Roche or Novartis. Then branching further into the wilds of Binningen suburb we knocked on a few houses and grabbed some interesting candy.
We did see fellow Menlo Parkers too! Small world. They live only half a mile from us.

Pepper got to play with her best buddy Paolo who was looking rather dapper in his cape. They played around while Hayley sought out some treats until Pepper started to take too much interest in the pumpkins lanterns which were carved beautifully.
Here is Pepper beginning her Halloween day. Usual level of excitement. Level is crazy with a dash of LSD.
After Ryan had pestered relentlessly for weeks about a costume, he decided on the day that he was not going to participate. Sigh. He stayed home.
