Cheesy Festivals

Today as part of Hayley's post-operation recovery we took her out for lunch at the Basel Markthalle. One of her favorite lunch or dinner locations.

Today alongside the usual array of food huts there was a cheese festival in progress. It was like Hayley and I having our usual visit to Hieber's cheese counter tasting cheeses repeated 20 times.

We found some extremely nice cheeses and bought some for later consumption at home.

Being Switzerland local Swiss produce they had blow their own horns with self-promotion.

I have yet to read up on how to play those things but they did make a very pleasing sound and is much preferred to their piccolo playing.

Of course, no cows were harmed in the above production of milk! Because they were fake!

Since Hayley had such a traumatic week and dealt with it all astonishingly well, while her Mama acquired some new shoes (the number of occurrences surpassed only by Imelda Marcos) Hayley got treated to a new pair too.
