For a Saturday afternoon adventure, we jumped on a train to Lucerne. This was a short, impromptu visit and more are anticipated, since it came with recommendations, including from a work visit by Andi, and there are friends living there to visit when schedules allow.

The train was fun, allowing us to view the spectacular surrounding countryside from Basel to Lucerne.

Once we arrived we wandered down to the lake, we investigated the multitude of options for lake tours. We found one, just a speedy hour round-trip, so we took that option so we could see more local scenery.

It was a chilly boat ride the tourists were not to be denied.

We wandered in to the city to find some late lunch options and warmed up!

Here are a couple of photos of where we wandered on our altogether way too short visit.

We will be back soon! What a beautiful city!
